BUSINESS

Nobody starts a business so that they can deal with legal and accounting issues but in order to run a successful business you need to make sure these areas are covered.  The Nash Law Firm can help you avoid legal problems, provide you with liability protection and with problems when they arise.  We will explain to you what your options are so you can decide what it the best course of action for you and your business.

With the advent of the internet, everyone has more access to information.  Unfortunately, the information that you find is only as good as the source it comes from.  There is a great deal of information that is untrue or misleading.  The fact something works in California does not mean that it will work or is legal in Minnesota.

The other problem with relying on the internet is that knowledge does not equate to wisdom.  I can look up information on internet to determine how to fix the engine in my car but that does not mean that I can actually fix the engine in my car!  Just reading facts does not give someone true knowledge or the wisdom as to how to deal with those facts.

A common example of this is in the creating of a corporate entity.  Many will go a line to from a corporate entity; however, most do not really know which entity is best for their business and their needs.  Many simply file the necessary documents with the Secretary of State, obtain a tax id number and think they are done.  Unfortunately, the most important documents have not been dealt with which will inevitably lead to major problems down the road.  Quite often, we see companies that have not touched there corporate documents since the day the company was formed.  In order to have a valid corporate entity you not only have to create it property, you must maintain it properly.

We can help you create the correct business entity and help you maintain your corporate books to give you the protection that you expect.  We have a number of different options to help you with this process so you can decide how much you want us to take care of and how much you feel comfortable taking care of.
