Ethics:

Realtors subject themselves to certain ethical standards. These standards are not imposed by law but were created by Realtors to govern their own conduct.
Every real estate agent should be familiar with and throughly understand the ethical rules that they have agreed to be subject to. The best way to deal with ethical issues is to avoid them in the first place. Of course, you cannot avoid what you don't know or understand.
Some of the rules are obvious while others are sometimes difficult to understand or apply to real life situations. We find that when agents go out of their way to help a client, they often find themselves facing an ethical violation; however, they don't recognize the violation until after the fact.
With technical advances continuing at breakneck pace, new ethical issue arise that we have never faced before. Websites, e-mails, videos and other technology all must be used in a way that is consistent with the ethical rules - are you in compliance?
